The aim of the research line is to generate knowledge and develop new technologies of plant production that integrate the components soil-water-plant-atmosphere, seeking to propose new methods, processes and products that increase productivity and reduce the environmental impact of agricultural enterprises. The researches look for establish modern agriculture practices and management of productive resources through soil management, conservation and correction, genetic improvement of plants, development of cultivation techniques and systems, integrated pests and diseases management, optimization of irrigation, use of biotechnologies and application of geospatial information. The interdisciplinary approach of these components provides an integrative vision of the agricultural production system, which allows creating innovative solutions for the sector that will result in the economic and environmental sustainability of agriculture.
